Potager Collection
It’s still very much winter for most of the county but in my sewing room it feels like springtime! Meet Potager, my newest collection for Art Gallery Fabrics.
Potager is now shipping to your favorite quilt shops that carry Art Gallery Fabrics. You can also shop online for the 16 quilting cotton prints, flannel, linen blend, and wide back prints. I’ve also designed a special quilt kit for this collection that is sold directly to shops through Art Gallery Fabrics.
You can pre-order the kit from Fat Quarter Shop—the printed pattern is included!
MAKE A QUILTED JOURNAL COVER
I’m already planning and planting seeds indoors for this year’s vegetable garden. I wanted to get off on the right foot this year and start a garden journal for the new house. The Bird’s Eye View print from my new AGF Potager collection was designed while I was planning last year’s garden so it was the perfect choice to use as my journal cover.
I used my free Journal Cover pattern and decided to give it an update to include a ribbon bookmark. Just adding the ribbon makes this quilted cover even more fun to use. The pattern is free and shows you how to customize the cover size to fit your book, notebook, or journal. Visit the FREEBIES page, here.
I used Auriful 28 weight thread, color number 2887 for the topstitching and a 40 weight thread in the bobbin. I like the thicker weight for a journal that will get lots of handling over the years.
There’s lots of fun and exciting things coming this spring including a Sew Along hosted by Victoria Newmyer of @midlife_quilting featuring the Potager collection, a new quilt pattern release from me on March 14th, and the Potager Look Book release at the end of March! You won’t miss out on any of it if you are following my daily postings on Instagram @sharonhollanddesigns and signed up for the blog newsletters.
