My Blue Skies Fabrics Came In!

Last week was a busy week. It all started on Monday when I got a box with the fabrics I needed to piece together two quilt tops out of the Blue Skies collection. How exciting!!!!! By Wednesday morning, I had cut out and pieced the "Garden Trellis" quilt top for the Fons & Porter magazine project and was taking that top to the quilt shop to be machine quilted. By Wednesday afternoon I was cutting out the second quilt top, "Prairie Flower" which will be the project quilt for Fabri-Quilt.

The project sheet for the Prairie Flower quilt will be available as a free download on the Fabri-Quilt website when the fabrics for the Blue Skies collection are ready. Keep checking the site to know when the fabrics come available. Ask for them at your local quilt shop to see if they will carry them.

By Saturday, the Mason Jar Quilt Shoppe had my first quilt all machine quilted and I picked it up and dropped off the second one. I spent the rest of Saturday binding the quilt and by Monday (this week) the "Garden Trellis" quilt got shipped off to Winterset, IA. to Fons & Porter. Now, I get the fun part to play even more with my fabrics and come up with some other quilt concepts. I don't have all 20 of the designs in the collection, I was just sent what I needed to complete those two quilts but, I have all but 6 and it will still be a blast to play around with them.
