It's May and I have less than 2 weeks till the 2015 Quilt Market in Minneapolis, MN. I hope I don't jinx myself but I am feeling pretty good about what has been sewn and what still needs to be sewn--I've got this!
At Quilt Market I will be showing off my new Sketchbook collection with Art Gallery Fabrics. This collection will be available in July at your local quilt shops and online. It has been tremendous fun sewing with these prints and my only disappointment is that I don't have enough fabric to work with to keep sewing! I only had limited advance fabric from the strike-off to make my samples. But, with that said I still got a lot of things made. Here are the prints for Sketchbook in the Plein Air and Studio color ways.
All the clothing is ready for the booth (except for a tunic smock for myself if there is time at the end). There are four luxurious knits that go with my Sketchbook quilting cotton prints. Here is just a few of the clothing items made to show off the beautiful fabric.
What I love the best is making QUILTS! I was able to eek out 5 throw size quilts with the help of Art Gallery Fabrics Pure Element solids and various AGF blenders to help extend my limited yardage. Here is a sneak peek at the quilts all pieced but in varying degrees of being machine quilted and bound. I intend to get them all finished this week and photographed in pretty settings.
My booth would not be complete without small sewing projects like pillow I made for the Lapped Zipper tutorial in my prior post. Since this collection is called Sketchbook, there will be artist related sewn accessories like patchwork notebook covers, a satchel and this neat art roll below.
Be sure to follow along on my Instagram feed to see my entire Quilt Market booth and all the pretty projects I have made from my new Sketchbook fabrics for Art Gallery Fabrics. Now it's time to get back to my sewing machine!
