I was contacted by Martha from South Carolina asking if I could give her the yardage requirements so she could make a king size Garden Trellis quilt, like the one featured in Fons & Porter's Love of Quilting July/August 2011 magazine. Well, if one person was looking for a king size version, maybe someone else would be too!
You will need to refer to the magazine article for complete piecing and assembly instructions, but I am attaching a PDF to my Projects Page that you can download. The PDF will show the block placement, yardage requirements and strip cutting information to make the Garden Trellis quilt in a king size.
This quilt was super easy to piece together and the results are beautiful! I want to make sure that Michelle Mason of the Mason Jar Quilt Shoppe gets plenty of kudos for her wonderful quilting job to this quilt as well as most of the quilts I have done. Michelle keeps me on schedule and is so much fun to work with. You will see more of Michelle's handwork in many more magazines over the next months!
I just finished a small baby quilt project today. I made a baby quilt as a gift for my nephew and his wife who are having a baby late this summer. In my next post, I will give you the directions to make your own "H" Block baby quilt project. Here is a sneak peek of the quilt. I used fabrics from Blue Skies and Love Grows in this one.
